Leadership


     When reading through chapter 5 of Organizational Communication, one principle that caught my eye is strong leadership. When it comes to my job at Sobeys, my owner creates a clear vision for all employees and is a great leader. He does so by having a team meeting with all managers each week to ensure everyone is on the same page and that there are no concerns with anything. Also, by having an information board for every employee to look at before each shift. The topics of discussion of that weekly meeting are put onto the board. We always set goals as cashiers of having at least 15 items scanned every minute and to always better our customer service. Strong leadership is when my owner wants us to meet our goals and gives us monthly reviews to motivate us and work on being more efficient to excel in sales and be the most efficient possible.
