Can Visuals Make An Argument

I think visuals can impact an argument because adding visual elements can add a persuasive effect to the argument. You can use a visual to reach the other person's emotions. For instance, the pictures we see all over the media regarding gun control. In one photo a girl is holding the book The Little Red Riding Hood and another girl holding a gun.  Above the image, it says, “one child Is holding something that's been banned in America to protect them guess which one.” This represents how some people perceive a book to be more harmful than a gun, even though there are multiple school shootings every year that can be prevented through gun control.
