Authority

    One persuasion that stood out to me would be authority. I was interested in this persuasion because the video mentioned how someone would give money to a stranger for a parking meter if that stranger is in uniform because they are viewed as an authority figure. This was very intriguing because I have read numerous articles regarding people impersonating cops and doctors. Specifically, in April 2020 in Lodi California, a man wearing a police type vest stopped another man in a park and told him he was violating curfew and needed to either give this man $1000 as a “ticket” or go to jail. This happens all the time and it is important people look for some sort of evidence like a badge, police car, and identification number.
